Paris, the black girl, the ferry and the dining table

A few years ago, about 1991, we went on a trip to Paris, it was kind of a work trip but about 1/3 of the people were from the local council.

On the first night we had a meal arranged, and free wine during that meal. Everybody was eating slowly and drinking quickly, as you can imagine.
