Yep, I hear those all the time. Several times a day usually. Not surprising, really...being 6' 9" tends to attract attention. Still, it gets old pretty fast, hearing the same old lines day after day, especially when you're not the attention-seeking type.

I always hated being tall. At 13 I was already the tallest in my class, taller than most of the teachers. The Phys-Ed teacher kept trying to pressure me into playing basketball, but I was neither athletic nor coordinated. Simply standing out made me uncomfortable.

College was a little better; more people on campus than in my small-town high school meant one singular individual didn't attract as much attention, but others still remarked on my height more than Iiked, as if it was the only thing about me that people cared about.
