Having sat through this snowstorm we just had this past week, here in the North East, it got me thinking about something that happened a couple of winters ago with a coworker when we were stuck during a massive snowstorm. It all happened when I was working at a mechanic shop, which was one of the biggest in the area at that time. The place had 12 mechanical bays, as well as a trucking department. We catered to many companies in the area and were doing very well at the time. The place made such a name for itself, that we even struck a deal with the mechanical department of the FBI, in the city, providing them with shipments of tires for their vehicles. We didn't actually work on the cars, we just bought them the products they needed and their mechanics took care of the rest. We were always busy and there was never much down time.

One of my favorite things to do when I worked was admiring one of the secretaries worked at the shop. She was an older woman, who had been with the company since day one. She had a bit of a reputation, because she had worked her way up the pay ladder, by having her fun with the owner, and his father before him. I had also heard some stories that she had gotten involved with a few other employees as well over the years. It was a bit surprising, because she was married, but it certainly explained how she always had a new car every six months. Like I said, she was a bit older, probably in her mid 50s, but from the looks of it, she took pretty good care of herself.
