It was a rainy Wednesday morning and I was getting ready to go next door for another round of putting things together for my sister-in-law. I had spent most of my time off this past winter, helping my sister-in-law trying to put her life back together. She had been through a lot in the last 20 years, including having two daughters, losing a house in Pennsylvania, and getting divorced. It had been a wild ride, which got even worse just before the holidays this past year.

Right before Thanksgiving, my sister-in-law Raquel, caught covid. Not only once, but twice to boot. She recovered quickly the first time around, but during her second battle with it, it took a toll on her. She had been recovering from a minor surgery when she caught it the second time around, and it really messed her up. She was very sick, and for a little while everyone wasn't sure if she would make it.

When she finally recovered, and started to get back on her feet, she was having a lot of issues breathing, as well as mental issues. Her mind was playing tricks on her, and she was in a very tough place. It took a toll on her, and she ended up losing her job, which really messed her up even more.
