Party Store Help

About a year and a half ago my husband and I were approached by a close friend of ours who needed some help with his business. He ran a very successful party store that sold party supplies and catered to different types of parties and unfortunately was going to have to step away from the business for a while because of personal and family reasons. It was going to be for an extended period of time because he had to leave the country to attend to these issues and would be gone for quite a while. He didn't want the store to go out of business because he had worked so hard to get to where he was and asked us if we could help him out. It was a big staple in the neighborhood and a lot of people respected him. He worked hard and anyone who used the store for party supplies or catering was always extremely happy and satisfied.

At the time, I was out of work and in dire need of a paycheck. My husband was working but money was extremely tight so a second income would certainly be helpful. We didn't know anything about running a store but thankfully our friend showed us how to run everything and a couple of his employees were also very helpful. It took about a month or so for my husband and I to get the hang of everything but eventually we took over and began to run things and after a bumpy start, everything evened out and were going well.
