It was snowy Wednesday afternoon, and I was working on a customer's car in my shop after having just snow plowed the lot outside. I was running a small mechanic shop at the local gas station that a friend of mine owned. I enjoyed it, because I got to work for myself and didn't have to answer to anyone, except my buddy, who wanted his rent at the end of the month, which wasn't a big deal because he didn't charge me much.

I had just come in from plowing the gas pumps and the lot outside of my bays, when my phone went off. I grabbed it and saw that my sister-in-law Raquel, was calling. I answered the phone and asked her what was up, and she told me she had a little situation. She had just gotten home from work and couldn't pull into the driveway because the town snowplows had blocked it when they plowed the roads. She also said that there weren't any parking spots available, and she didn't know what to do. I only worked a few blocks from the house but couldn't leave the shop just yet and asked her if it was possible for her to drive up to where I was. She said she would and we hung up the phone.

She arrived about 15 min. later and I opened the garage door to one of the bays, and waved her in so that she could park inside. She pulled her car in and I immediately closed the garage door because the snow was coming down heavy. Once inside, she got out of the car and thanked me for helping. I asked her if she needed her car the following morning and she said that she didn't because she was going to be working from home.
