Move-In Day

Daniella gazed out the window, hoping to see Jerry approaching. But all she saw were two guys across the way, having a beer out on their patio. She sighed as she finger brushed some of her long blonde hair behind her ear. She hummed a tune from Disney's The Little Mermaid as she walked around their new apartment one more time. She wanted to made sure everything was in place and ready for Jerry.

Wendy, Daniella's mother, had driven Daniella up to the new complex that morning. After checking in with the managers and eating some of the free lunch, they had made their way to the apartment Daniella and Jerry were going to live in. Daniella had been delighted over how clean everything was. This was her first apartment and she was the apartment's first owner. Together, mother and daughter, unloaded all of what Daniella had packed. There was very little furniture, as Daniella's parents only lived an hour away and were coming back up in the next day or two; so only the essentials were brought. Some food, everyday items, cleaning supplies, bedding, some clothes, and a couple of chairs. Most of the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom stuff was left behind. Of course, the only major thing to move was the bed.
